Why there is a press roller of the hose coil wrapper?
Under the current situation, plastic hose production are still variant based on the craftmanship and the production equipment that the manufacturers are using. There are full automatic coiling and strapping and packaging machines which are applied for the thinner small hose and pipes production. These machines have the automatic coiler which winding up the hose and making a small roll and strap the rolls before pushing them to the automatic packaging machine. The packaging methods can be bagging process or shrink wrapping packaging. The shrink wrapping packaging is often performed on the L bar sealing shrink wrapper, while some of the larger rolls maybe need the side sealer shrink wrapper which has a large range of application to the coil dimensions. Both of these two machines are fully automatic and working continuously.
But there are not just the small hose and pipes, we also have the bigger hose such as corrugated hose which the outer diameter might go up to 100mm. These products are often not wound by the automatic coiler as the big size is hard for the machine to proceed. They are often wound by labour hands manually. Considering the huge size of these corrugated hose coils, the shrink wrapping machine might not be the good packaging machine for them. In the case of this application, the hose coil wrapper is a practical and useful machine for the packaging of large corrugated hose coils.
The hose coil wrapper is a vertical coil wrapping machine and has the rotating ring with the opening towards the upside. The structure of this coil wrapping machine will benefit the operator to load the big hose coils to the coil wrapper by hoist with no barriers. And the structure of this kind of coil wrapping machine can keep the hose coils stay more stationary during wrapping, especially with this top press roller.
The top press roller is used to fix the corrugated hose coils. It's driven by a pneumatic cylinder can pressed to the coils. During the wrapping, the possible coil jumping and vibration might happen, but the press roller is able to against these motions and keep it steadily. The roller also has the side panels and rotate together with the coils. It can effectively limit the movement of the coils. More stationary coils are more likely to have the perfect wrapping and tighter tension of the package.
