Loop slitting is a method employed to cut a master coil of metal into a number of narrower coils. It's the main way for slitting stainless steel sheets, steel coils.......currently. The slitted steel coils are much thiner but the weight is still too heavy for man power to load. In order to avoid the stain and rust, manufacturers usually will wind the steel coils/steel strip with plastic stretch film or composite paper or VCI tape to make their steel products are really sealed and no air inside. But the wrapping process is a labour costy work to do, so the coil wrapping machine become a must for steel coil manufacturers to pack their products of steel coils and steel strip.
As the steel coil and steel strip are quite heavy even after slitted to thin units, so the hoist or crane is needed for loading and transferring the steel coils. But this might has a problem with the coil wrapping machine, because there are barriers to load the slitted steel coils to the coil wrapping machine directly on it's supportive rollers. And the chain and C hook which loading steel coils by hoist will have collisions with the coil wrapping machine and damage the machine.
Fortunately, we have this steel coil wrapping machine with mobile wrapping station. This machine will be very convenient when loading the heavy steel coils by hoist and crane. Because, the wrapping station is backward from the supportive rollers before loading. When the slitted steel coil is on the supportive rollers, the wrapping station is movable to come to the position for wrapping. This motion is able to remove all the barriers for hoist loading, and the heavy steel coils could be loaded in-place for once.
