Strapping polystyrene box by adhesive tape for aquatic products
With the development of the economy and the improvement of living standards, aquatic products have become ubiquitous in the daily diet of ordinary people. After entering the 21st century, the development of e-commerce industry has further promoted the vigorous development of aquatic products. Today, thousands of tons of aquatic products are being delivered to thousands of households by express, logistics, air transportation and other new ways every day, bringing the best quality and freshest aquatic products to every consumer.
Aquatic products are not easy to preserve and belong to non-dried products. Products including seafood and lobsters are very perishable, and they are absolutely inedible after they have rotted. Therefore, for all aquatic products, whether they are frozen or fresh (refrigerated, non-frozen), they will be packaged in polystyrene box, foam boxes, etc.
However, for the bundling and packaging of polystyrene boxes, there has always been a difficult problem to be solved in the industry. Usually, we first wrap the foam box which containing the aquatic products with BOPP tape around the lid to seal it well. Then we will use a strapping machine to make two PP straps in the longitudinal direction of the polystyrene box to keep the box firmly in the process of transportation and handling. However, because the surface of the polystyrene box is too smooth and cannot be compressed when strapping, many times the PP strap belt will fall off during transportation and handling. Without the restraint of the PP strap belt, it is difficult to seal the lid of the polystyrene box with BOPP tape, which will cause the foam box to be unsealed and fall apart, and the aquatic products inside will also deteriorate quickly.
Our newly developed orbital tape wrapping machine can easily solve this problem. This orbital tape wrapper can use self-adhesive tape to wrap twice in the longitudinal direction of the polystyrene box to strengthen the sealing and the bearing capacity of the polystyrene box. And because the tape is sticky, it will not fall off as easily as the PP strapping belt.
This orbital tape wrapper is equipped with infeed and outfeed conveyors, pneumatic clamping and top pressing platens. Fully automatic online polystyrene box strapping can be realized and connected with the customer's production line or packaging line.
