Food is the daily necessities of every individual, and there is even such a proverb that "food is the most important thing for the people". Perhaps when we are tasting delicious bread and cakes and drink tasty drinks, most of us will not imagine what a huge supply chain, production chain and sales chain are behind this. From the initial purchase of raw materials, to the processing and production of different products, to the packaging and sales of products, every step is related to the quality of the products to the final consumers. Due to the huge consumption of food in our whole society, also in order to reduce the production costs as well as to better control the sales price of food. Food production scale and its shipments tend to be the highest among all industrial sectors.

Considering the preservation of food and its safety during storage and transportation, the packaging process plays a vital role in the entire industrial chain. This includes wrapping the food products stacked on the pallet to improve the stability of the goods and prevent collapse and reduce damage of the goods that may occur during transportation and storage. Therefore, a pallet stretch wrap machine which suitable for wrapping palletized food products is urgently needed by most food production enterprises.

Palletized goods of the food category have some special cases. First of all, in order to reduce storage and transportation costs, manufacturers often stack goods very high to achieve the purpose of improving work efficiency and maximizing space utilization. Second, food products are different from other industrial products in that they are very light in weight, which may cause some troubles in the wrapping process of palletized goods. Third, food factories have very strict hygiene requirements. Generally, large loading and unloading equipment, including forklifts, are not allowed in their production workshops. So what kind of pallet stretch wrap machine is suitable for using in food production factories? Recently, at the request of one of our Saudi Arabic customers, we designed this pallet wrapping machine which suitable for food factories:
The height of this equipment exceeds 4 meters, the maximum packaging height can reach 3.6 meters, and the maximum weight that can be carried is 2 tons. However, since the stacking height of the customer's goods is generally higher than 3 meters but the total weight is only 300kg, we added a top pressing device to ensure that the goods will not collapse during the rotation. Different from the ordinary top pressing device, in order to ensure that the various parts of the machine do not conflict with each other in the stroke during operation, the top pressing device of this pallet wrapper is not installed on the same mast as the film carriage, but is installed on an additional stand-alone mast. At the same time, it adopts the principle of motor drive. Compared with the cylinder-driven type, it has a larger pressing range and stronger pressure.

This machine has its own film breaking device. In the case of using a forklift for loading and discharging, only one forklift operator can complete all steps. The forklift operator does not need to get out of the vehicle after loading the goods, just press the start button on the remote control, and the machine can start wrapping automatically. When wrapping is completed, the film cutter will automatically clamp and break the film. Then the operator only needs to operate the forklift to fork away the wrapped pallets. There is no need to manually apply and cut the film in the whole process.

Consider that food production workshops may not be able to use forklifts for loading/unloading. We equipped this pallet wrapping machine with a ramp. With the help of this ramp, workers can easily use the pallet truck to transport the goods to the turntable of this pallet wrapping machine. It really realizes multiple usage modes of a machine in different working environments.
