Amoung the production of bearing, the inspection is usually the final process of manufacturing. After the bearing passed through the inspection, they will be washed and brushed to get rid of rust, put into the inner packaging afterwards to achieve the purpose of waterproof, moisture-proof, dust-proof, shock-proof. The reason for the
bearing packaging is to maintain the quality and accuracy of the bearing, to facilitate the use and sale.
The inner packaging materials of the bearing has a wide range of options, this includes polyethylene plastic tube (box), kraft paper, plain and wrinkled polyethylene composite paper, paper box, waterproof high-strength plastic tape, polyethylene or polyethylene plastic film, nylon fastening tape or plastic woven fastening tape, VCI tape..., Burlap bags, etc. While the corrosion resistance test of the material is qualified.
The principle requirements for different sized bearing inner packaging method:
1. Miniature bearings: normally 10-15 sets of bearings are packaged into a plastic tube, then 5-10 plastic tubes are packaged into a carton ( bag or roll package).
Single set of bearings are packed in polyethylene film bags, better to get sealed and shrink wrapped by
thermal shrink wrapping machine.
2. Medium and small bearings ( like tapered roller bearings): Multiple sets of bearings are normally wrapped by
coil wrapper or hands with polyethylene film or VCI tape, external kraft paper or polyethylene composite paper;
3. Large bearing ( such as interchangeable cylindrical roller bearings): Every single set of three-layer wrapping packaging down by
bearing wrapping machine: polyethylene film, VCI tape or composite paper tape as the packing material for the inner layer, fastening tape used for the middle layer, and waterproof permeable plastic tape adopted for the outer layer.
4. Extra large bearings ( typically the wind turbine bearings): Every single set of three-layer wrapping packaging down by bearing wrapping machine (same as above);
Single-time four-layer wrapping package also to be down by
coil wrapping machine: the outermost layer is wrapped with a layer of linen tape on the bearing wrapping machine.
